Educators for Excellence is a community-of-practice initiative. Educators for Excellence members gather for fellowship, dialogue, and discovery about what it takes to promote and sustain faculty and staff who are dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching, learning, and mentorship.
Recipients of institutional teaching, research, and service awards that include mentoring others are welcome and invited to join at any time.
Any faculty or academic staff member committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring may participate in Educators for Excellence. Ask to join the mailing list to receive programming updates.
Community members convene formally two to three times each year, including an end-of-year new member induction ceremony and celebration. Educators for Excellence began in 2011. The group was inaugurated by Dr. Valerie Williams, then Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development for the University of Oklahoma academic health campuses.
