
National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM) was created by a congressional resolution in 2019. Celebrating the history, contributions, and culture of Arab Americans, April recognizes those who have ancestry in one of the 22 nations between northern Africa and western Asia who share a common cultural and linguistic heritage. These nations include: Algeria, Bahrain, the Comoro Islands, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, and Yemen.
