Educators for Excellence is a community-of-practice initiative. Inaugurated in 2011, the group was convened by Dr. Valerie Williams, then Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development. Today, Educators for Excellence members gather for fellowship, dialogue, and discovery about what it takes to promote and sustain faculty and staff who are dedicated to achieving excellence in teaching, learning, and mentorship.
Recipients of institutional teaching, research, and service awards that include mentoring the teaching and learning of others are welcome and invited to join at any time. Any faculty or staff member committed to the teaching mission may join. Ask for membership information if you are interested in participating in this dialogue and discovery experience at OU Health Campus. Community members convene formally two to three times each year, including an end-of-year ceremony and celebration to welcome newly inducted members.
